I'm writing to thank everyone at Ahavas Chesed for coming to the rescue at just the right time. I literally didn't know where I was going to find the money for the week's groceries when the envelope just appeared.

To the Ahavas Chesed Fund:

As you know, I'm divorced and have custody of four boys, whom I've been raising...mostly alone...for years. My ex-wife is not too involved and certainly does little to help out.

Of course the divorce ruined the financial structure of the family...the money and the house are gone. My income dropped to nearly nothing as I struggled to take care of little kids who came home at 12:00. Social Services helps out single mothers in lots of ways, but men are ineligible.
